  • Adminstrator/Co-ordinator: BCUIM

    The Black Country Urban Industrial Mission was set up in 1976 to deliver a local ecumenical programme of mission in the economy to the Black Country Boroughs of Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley and the City of Wolverhampton. It is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. The team consists of chaplains, ordained and lay, drawn from several denominations. It has a governing Board of Church Leaders and representatives from trades unions, industry and education. BCUIM organises conferences and projects, and encourages Christian communities and individuals to make and strengthen connections between faith and work. Workplace visiting is an important feature which keeps the organisation rooted in the industrial environment, and enables the chaplains to make a contribution to the economic and industrial life of the Black Country.   • Children and Families Worker: Tynings Lane Church, Aldridge

    The role will include leading a very popular toddler group, a midweek toddler service, co-ordinating children’s Sunday ministries, being part of all age services, developing new pieces of work and supporting our growing team of volunteers.   • Lichfield Cathedral Organ Scholarship

    The Chapter of Lichfield Cathedral is seeking to appoint an Organ Scholar from 1 September 2019. This will be a full-time organ scholarship, tenable for one year but with the possibility to apply for a second year. A graduate is preferred but the scholarship is open to all suitably qualified and experienced candidates.
    The scholarship is designed to provide an opportunity for a talented musician to build on his or her skills in a supportive and creative environment, whilst contributing significantly to the musical like of Lichfield Cathedral as an integral part of the music team. The organ scholar is managed by the Assistant Director of Music, who in turn reports to the Director of Music. The Music Department is overseen by the Canon Precentor.
