Edgmond and Tibberton - Rector

'Rural, not Remote'

Six parishes seeking the Kingdom together need a mission-minded priest to lead and care for them.

We're six rural parishes working together for God and our communities just north of Telford and west of Newport in north Shropshire. Harper Adams University, with its own chaplain, is within one of our parishes.

Our worship and approach to mission is varied across the benefice, including traditional and informal. We reflect the seasons of nature and agriculture as well as the church year, particularly in our outreach.

We seek a Rector who will lead us in prayer, worship, discipleship and mission, and in particular:

  • Encourage our faith and discipleship;
  • Lead, resource and develop our collaborative ministry;
  • Engage with our church schools, working with our funded FLOURISH worker;
  • Help us to plan for mission into new housing developments.

You’ll join a dedicated volunteer team (clergy and lay) a paid administrator and FLOURISH worker, PCCs open to more working together, opportunities to work with schools and a well-grounded community presence. You’ll also live in a beautiful rural area with easy access to market and larger towns.
