Katie is excited to be moving back to the Midlands after three years of training at Trinity College in Bristol. She will be serving her curacy at St Paul’s, Longton Hall in Stoke-on-Trent.
Katie has a particular passion for pastoral care and community-building. During her time at Trinity College she ran many socials and served a fair few drinks while working at the Badger’s Pouch (the college pub). In her free time she loves swimming in lakes (even in the winter!)
Prior to ordination training, Katie spent several years working with young people across the UK and as far away as Texas. This is where her calling to ministry began and God has continued to broaden and strengthen her sense of calling over recent years. Katie’s discernment journey began with an exploration about Anglicanism itself as she spent time in six different church denominations over the years. She didn’t know the right lingo but she found that was a good place to start! She has learned a lot about herself and about God during these last seven years since she first began the formal discernment process in the Church of England. She is very grateful for the journey God has taken her on, which has involved ups and downs but she can see God’s faithfulness throughout it all.
