Bus shelter epiphany
A village church near Staffordshire has been turning heads with its bus shelter epiphany display.
Worshipers from St Mary's in Moreton, near Gnosall, decided to turn the disused bus stop into a shelter fit for kings - and even installed solar lights to guide the way.
PCC member Sue Orton explained that they had risen to the challenge set by their vicar, the Revd Kathryn Hammond.
"We have a full stable at the front of church and Kathryn suggested it would be good to have somewhere for the Kings to 'wait'. We decided the best place was the bus shelter, which is on the village green. We have a bus shelter in our village but no buses!
"One of our friends Angela asked her brother to source the wood which is 6ft high. Jackie is on the PCC and attends art classes so agreed to draw and paint the Wise Men. Angela then worked on the embellishment and sourced the star. We researched solar spotlights so that at night the Wise Men were lit up.
"The village community are delighted and the scene has been much admired," said Sue.
