#NewRevs 2022 - Pippa White

Pippa is to be ordained as a deacon on Saturday 25 June and will serve her curacy at Kinnerley with Melverley, Knockin with Maesbrook and Maesbury.

Pippa originally hails from the depths of rural Norfolk, but after her undergrad at Keele Uni settled in Kent. During this time she was a barmaid for family-run pubs, and also worked for one of the local stables.

She has since moved to Cambridge to study for ministry at Westcott House, where the biggest misconception she has found about preparing for ministry is people think the only subject ordinands study is the Bible! Pippa has found God’s calling particularly in apologetics and working with young people at this stage in her ministry, but as she has (at least!) 40 years ahead of her, she is hoping God will make God’s calling nice and loud when it time to find something new. As someone who wasn’t even baptised before receiving her calling, her best advice for people exploring what God may be calling them to do is to pray, find someone who knows you well to talk about it, and pray some more!

Pippa will be moving to Lichfield Diocese with Freddie, the trusty (if absolutely mad) cocker spaniel.
