The Finance department recognised that under the sequestration rules many parishes could have vacant posts for various reasons other than interregnum and would not qualify for financial support for covering services. The Vacancy Support Fund has addressed this issue and allows Parishes to apply for such support in a variety of circumstances.
Please note that this fund should not be used for occasional offices (weddings and funerals for example). Services with Statutory fees should continue to be submitted on the usual fees returns.
