In response to the devastating cyclone which has hit many pacific countries including Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands, the Melanesian Mission has launched a fundraising campaign.
You can support the people of Vanuatu in the following ways:
Please pray and ask your churches to pray
Almighty God, in whom we live and move and have our being,
cradle in your loving arms the peoples of Vanuatu and their neighbours affected by Cyclone Pam:
comfort the bereaved,
strengthen the distressed and uphold those reaching out across oceans in support at this time of distress;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
To make a donation please visit the dedicated giving page on Virgin Money Giving
Resources are now available for the Diocesan Day of Prayer taking place on Ash Wednesday, these have been prepared by the Evangelism Enabling Team for the Salop Episcopal Area.
We would like to encourage you to make these resources available for members of all our churches to use on Ash Wednesday and also throughout Lent.
Do watch this video of David and Jane Newsome as they explain why 40 days of prayer for the charity ‘Hands at Work’ is so important. http://bit.ly/16KuJbH Resources are also available from this website.
You can get these prayer points delivered to your mobile automatically through the free PrayerMate app on iOS and Android. For further information please click on the logo below.
We are most grateful for people submitting contributions for the Diocesan Prayer Diary.
