  • Children's and Schools' Pastor: Telford Minster

    Telford Minster is a church plant started in the centre of Telford under a Bishops’ Mission Order. We are passionate about making Jesus known in our everyday lives and together as a church in Telford. We have a unique opportunity to reimagine what the church of the future might look like without the historical restriction of traditional parish churches.

    Purpose of Role
    To grow a sustainable children’s and schools ministry through Telford Minster. Helping children and young people to come to Christ and develop a discipleship relationship with him.

    We are looking for a Children’s and Schools’ Pastor who is

    - Passionate about children and them becoming followers for Jesus for themselves.
    - Faithful in prayer and studying of the bible.
    - Able to engage with adults and children in school and church environments.
    - Able to bridge the gap between good schools’ work and church engagement.
    - Believes strongly that the local church has an active role to play in schools across Telford.
    - Willing to take risks to enable children in schools and church to encounter Christ for themselves.
    - Comfortable in a school environment, with large groups, or on a one to one basis.
    - Passionate about raising up others to build a team to join them in delivering the work to schools and church.
    - Point children, parents and school leaders to events and services in the local area and church.
    - Could pioneer new ways of reaching out to children in an age appropriate way. As well as developing fresh expression of church.
    - Willing to discern where God is leading and direct children’s and schools’ work in that direction.
    - Works well in a team.

  • Youth Pastor: Telford Minster

    Purpose of role
    Is to develop a strong youth work team, helping young people in Telford come to faith and develop a lifelong discipleship relationship.

    We are looking for a Youth Pastor who is
    - Passionate about young people encountering Christ for themselves and being drawn into discipleship.
    - Faithful in prayer and study of the Bible, seeking to grow in relationship with God.
    - Able to engage with young people at an age appropriate level.
    - Able to work alongside other youth work organisations and schools in and around Telford.
    - Able to bridge the gap between good school’s work and church engagement.
    - Willingness to take risks in rolling God’s call.
    - Able to lead or acquire the skills to lead youth congregations, including fresh expressions
    - Comfortable working with young people from a range of backgrounds.
    - Willing to discover new ways of reaching young people in and around Telford.
    - Work within a team.
    - Able to discern gifting in youth and adults and enabling them to grow.
    - Able to develop a team to help deliver youth work to the young people of Telford.

  • Youth and Children's Worker: All Saints, Wellington

    With this purpose and these values in mind, we are looking for someone to:

    - Provide pastoral care for, and disciple in the Christian faith, school age children and young people.

    - Within the community, to present the Christian message to children and young people who do not yet belong to a church, with the aim of bringing them to faith and discipleship.

    - To help shape the life and worship at All Saints in a way that is attractive to children and young people, empowering the young to have a voice in the life, ministry, and leadership of the church.
