The Great Vocations Conversation initiative is being launched nationally on Vocations Sunday - 22nd April 2018.
We are challenging everyone involved in ministry, whether lay or ordained, to commit to having at least one conversation a month about vocation with someone different from themselves.
"Starting a conversation could be as simple as a chat in the queue for tea or coffee about someone’s passions and gifts, but it could take you deep into questions of service, flourishing and witness." (Church of England website)
Participants are able to sign up to the challenge online through the Church of England website. Those who sign up will receive a monthly devotional that will be available in print later in the year.
Postcards on which to record who you have had your #oneamonth vocational conversations with are available from the Vocations and Training team and will be available to collect from the Vocations stand at the Bishop of Lichfield's Clergy Conference.
Conversation starter packs are available from the Vocation and Training team. These include a variety of questions which can be used as discussion starters about vocation. They are way of encouraging people to reflect on what it means to be called by God, and what God might be calling them to.
The Vocations and Training team have put together a number of videos which will appear here in the run up to Vocations Sunday.
