General Synod is the parliament of the Church of England, with its member drawn from lay people, clergy and bishops. General Synod representatives are elected every five years - including 2021. There are 7 lay and 6 clergy places for Lichfield Diocese - these make our representatives to the House of Laity and House of Clergy.
The election is the result of voting by members of deanery synods. The voting period begins on 17 September and closed at 12 noon on 8 October. For those who are eligible to vote, voting will be via the portal or by post for those without email. The count will be w/c 11 October and the results posted here.
