The Bishop of Lichfield, with the Bishops of Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton, is looking to appoint two Archdeacons, one to serve in the Archdeaconry of Salop and one to serve the Archdeaconry of Walsall.
We are looking for individuals who:
- are priests of faith, prayer, integrity, imagination and energy;
- are people of vision, confident in the gospel and passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the world;
- can demonstrate a breadth of experience and skills which fulfil the wide-ranging requirements of the Archdeacon’s remit;
- are ready to exercise bold, imaginative and sensitive leadership at a time of significant change;
- will work collegially and initiate partnerships with others;
- be skilled in helping local churches think creatively and strategically about mission as well as offering practical and pastoral support to clergy and lay ministers;
- are able to work sympathetically across a range of contexts, both urban and rural;
- are committed to promoting diversity at every level of church life.
