HUMAN resources expert Julie Jones has worked in Personnel and Development all her professional life, most recently being employed as HR Director with the international Christian outreach charity mission Aviation Fellowship.

She is a Member of the British Psychological Society and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and has previously held senior HR roles for organisations including British Aerospace and KPMG. She has also worked in a voluntary capacity on continued ministerial education with clergy in the dioceses of Bristol, Canterbury and Birmingham.

‘I am delighted and honoured to take up this post,’ said Julie, ‘but it’s a bit daunting taking over from someone who has been in post for so long. I will be doing a lot of listening in my first few months, and am greatly looking forward to getting to know the staff, clergy and laity of the diocese. I hope that by working effectively together we will continue to see God’s transforming power at work in and through our churches and communities.’

Julie is married to the Revd Stewart Jones, vicar of St Martin in the Bull Ring, Birmingham, and they have three children.
